Ground Source Heat Pump
Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP'S) are an alternative to gas & oil fired boilers. They are a reliable and efficient way of providing heat and hot water and can lower your energy bills, particularly if you are replacing electric heating or oil. GSHP's are also a commercially attractive option for any business.
GSHP's can also help reduce your carbon emissions and mean no more fuel deliveries if you currently use oil or LPG powered central heating.
Heat Pumps do have some impact on the environment as they need electricity to run, but the heat they extract from the ground is constantly being renewed naturally and if you have Solar Photovoltaic (PV) panels on your roof you will be generating the electricity to run the system. That being said Solar PV panels are NOT a necessity in having a GSHP system installed.
GSHP's use pipes which are buried in the ground, to extract heat from the ground. This can then be used to heat radiators, underfloor or warm air heating systems and provide hot water.
Heat Pumps can also provide you with a regular income through the Government Renewal Heat Incentive (RHI). The RHI is a UK Government scheme set us to encourage uptake of renewable heat technologies among householders, communities and businesses through the provision of financial incentives.
Atlantic Contracting Northwest Ltd is registered under the Microgeneration Certificate Scheme (MCS) and are experts in all aspects of renewable technology installations. Our specialists can provide you with clear information on all aspects of the installation & expected RHI payments.
